A Secret No More!

POP!... no more a secret, but an idea coming to life. The blog I have contemplated, planned, deliberated and debated over and "whispered" about for some time... I welcome you all to my special after hours hide-a-way where I can unleash the fashionista, trend-loving, beauty product addict, foodie, not-so-starving artist, Kate-loving, forever home projecting and much much more on all of you! Come on in and get lost for a bit in my secret world!

Ok, well, maybe it's not such a big secret. For anyone that knows me, it's no secret that I have a closet that is literally overloaded and about to "cave in" with shoes, clothes and accessories! I'm the first to admit, I LOVE fashion! Always have. Lets not forget my beauty product invasion in the bathroom medicine cabinet... on the counter... in the vanity drawers, under the sink, uh, um, in the hall linen closet. Er uh, addicted much you ask? Why yes! What gave it away? Hmm perhaps it's my Tabletop Spinning Cosmetic Organizer by Lori Greiner from QVC on the bathroom counter...

At 29.82 (don't forget to add tax and shipping), this nice little find courtesy of Wanelo.com, which is a whole other post in itself thanks to the Neph's (nephew's) girlfriend, "Cat", is what has helped in keeping my daily beauty routine all in one place, sort of... Hubby may argue that one as somehow items land on the counter top  99% of time. For the average user though, there is plenty of safe-keeping slots and slats for your eye shadows, blush, lipsticks/glosses, concealer (lets not forget that very important item!), moisturizer, line-minimizing, anti-aging, face-plaster, Botox in a bottle, bee-stinging face mask, eye-lifting puffy reducing cooling gel and... oh sorry, didn't mean to get carried away there. Was running through all of my items in my head and well you get the idea! What I like most about it, is that all my make-up brushes fit nice and neat in the top. Oh yeah, and it SPINS! Like a merry-go-round of beauty products - they should have called it The Beauty-Go-Round!

For those that may not like anything that spins or you want something a little more inconspicuous, this one, also from Lori Greiner, may be more your style -

$79.50 plus tax & shipping

Pack it all in and SHUT THE  FRONT DOOR(s)! What makeup? I have no idea *what* you are talking about...

Ok, so now you know one of my first secrets, how I keep all my beauty dodads* all neat and ready to go for my daily routine. What else would you like to know?

Stick around because I have plenty of secrets to share and everyone knows we ALL love to hear a "good secret"!

Foot-Nonsense:
*dodads - I decided to look this word up on my trusty go-to site www.Merriam-Webster.com and came up with this: "Definition of DODAD variant spelling of doodad - This word doesn't usually appear in our free dictionary, but the definition from our premium Unabridged Dictionary is offered here on a limited basis. Note that some information is displayed differently in the Unabridged. To access the complete Unabridged Dictionary, with an additional 300,000 words that aren't in our free dictionary, start a free trial."
Oh Merriam, haven't you figured it out by now, no one is going to give you a dime when they can just "Google" it you silly dictionary you! Then I realized after clicking on the link for "DOODAD", I found what I was looking for, free of charge. Et em - now you know my other secret, I need a dictionary at all times AND spellcheck.
Doodad for those that are unfamiliar with this word, is also know as a gadget, small article whose common name is unknown or forgotten, an ornamental decoration. The origin of this word - unknown but dates back to 1888. Synonyms: doohickey, thingamabob, thingamajig, whatnot and my all time favorite... chachkies! Chachkies, which is yiddish and more so meaning collectibles (of dust) but a fun word none-the-less. No, I'm not Jewish, but I grew up with many a Jewish friend (oh the food at Rosh Hashanah!). In my neighborhood, you were either Catholic, Jewish or "Other"... I fall into the category of  "Other" - To be discussed more at length in another post possibly.
